Intolerable Cruelty (2003)
(PG-13) 110 mins

Michael Douglas is a lucky man. Aweeuw. Catherine Zeta-Jones gets a nod for the best looking performance in a film for 'Intolerable Cruelty.' Unfortunately, that's one of the few things this film has going for it. This Coen brothers' comedy is only really mildly funny, and doesn't really do much to sustain interest for long periods of time. There are some memorable bits, with 'Wheezy Joe' and Cedric the Entertainer, which do get a laugh, but George Clooney and Zeta-Jones end up just wandering through the script; we all know where the film is going to end up, so I don't really need scenes (like Clooney's speech) to try to make the payoff any greater.
